Just in case you want to know more about how this whole thing came about here is the story of…
The 12th Annual Joe Henson –Memorial Tiki Classic, Benefiting the Matthew Gaskin Scholarship Fund
Joe Henson was a fixture in Left Field Lounge and an avid supporter of MSU students and athletes. He was an adoptive parent for many of MSU’s players and a true friend to long time left field loungers and new friends alike. This event promises to remember Joe and his contributions to MSU.
Matthew Gaskin worked hard, smiled big and was a constant source of laughter for his friends. His life was cut short in a car accident in January of 2008. With this memorial scholarship, we are promising that smiles and friendships will continue for many other students in the MSU future.
The Scholarship is an annual award of $1,000 given to outstanding local service industry employees.
